Tight corners or wide-open straight-aways, inclement weather or pure blue sky, Charger delivers superb handling and control. The Electronic Stability Program (ESP)[1] is designed to assist drivers in maintaining control of their vehicles during extreme steering maneuvers. ESP[1] senses when a vehicle is starting to spin (oversteer) or plow (understeer), and attempts to correct the vehicle's course by automatically controlling the throttle and applying the brakes at individual wheels.
ESP[1] works in conjunction with the available all-wheel drive (AWD) and available antilock brake systems improve overall traction and directional stability, as well as deliver excellent cornering balance and improved acceleration over rear-wheel drive.

- Braking

Charger harnesses its power with standard four-wheel disc brakes with lightweight aluminum calipers. And in emergency situations, available antilock brakes with brake assist help prevent wheel lockup and retain steering control under shorter stopping distances.
- Coilover suspension kits

With new stainless steel INOX technology (exclusively from Mopar®), these premium kits feature aluminum tip perches and a thread design that allows for easy, exact height adjustments.

Charger grips the pavement with its available all-wheel drive system with automatic disconnect. The system supplies power to both axles and seamlessly transfers power from rear-wheel to all-wheel drive with no driver input. And when all-wheel drive is not needed, the system automatically disconnects the front axle, opening the transfer case from the drivetrain to reduce friction and rotational mass. This leads to optimal traction, performance and fuel economy at all times.
